My Approach

The process of finding the right therapist is important and often can feel overwhelming. I am here to support you through this process. I recognize the courage it takes to reach out for support, and I consider it a privilege to be entrusted with your life experiences.My approach to treatment begins with connecting with you in a comforting, warm and safe environment. My focus is on establishing a collaborative connection to help you learn new coping skills, build autonomy, gain a greater sense of self-worth and enhance healthy relationships in your daily life. While working with you, I practice empathy, validation, realism and humor. To meet your needs, I take a person-centered approach and use a variety of therapies, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), strength based perspective and motivational interviewing.
